Batteries
Ive
been selling ACDelco batteries since 1980 or so.
Thats the only battery I sell and install.
Every time I test a ACDelco battery, it has far
more CCA (cold cranking amps) than the sticker on top
says it should have. If it is rated at 550, they
will often test to 600 or more. Few other batteries
will test that well. As a matter of fact, many will
brag they have 800 CCA and test at well below, even though
they are new and fully charged.
Another
reason I sell ACDelco is they are clean batteries.
Cheaper batteries will gas so bad, they will corrode everything
close by. You may save $20 bucks by not buying a ACDelco,
but you will spend twice that much replacing the hardware
that attaches to that cheapo battery. So when its
time to replace or warranty the battery, you dont have
to replace both cables, the tray, the hold down and everything
within a foot of the battery because of acid damage.
Last,
the warranty can be handled by any GM dealer in the United
States or any repair shop who sells or has access to Delco
Batteries. That gives my traveling customers some comfort.
